Musicals in Concert

Aurway hosts this series to allow for a more in-depth, intimate interaction with the scores and storytelling of our original and selected musicals. In this series, we take a deeper look into more advanced aspects of the work such as its inspiration, musical composition and detailed story analysis.
In-School Residencies

We believe in the importance of providing young people with a strong foundation in the arts and opportunities to perform and create. That's why we offer a range of in-school services, including foundational workshops and multi-session residencies, that nurture students' personal connection to art-making. Our packages are customizable to meet the needs of each school, and can include assembly-style presentations or in-depth exploration of various aspects of performance. We are dedicated to helping young people discover and cultivate their artistic talents.
Playtime
#PlaytimeAurway
PlayTime is a modified reading series geared towards exposing our network to new works by black artists about black stories. We look to use this PlayTime space as a non-traditional way to interact with works relevant to our mission. PlayTime differs slightly from the traditional staged reading format in that we, in many cases, do not read straight through the entire piece.

Aurway maintains a repertoire of original works currently consisting of 4 full-length musicals as well as 2 one-act musicals. With this catalog and a few others in development, Aurway looks to be a critical piece of presenting original works that tell the story of black and brown people in new ways keeping true to our mission.

AURWAY ALIGNED
Welcome to Aurway Aligned, a dedicated series providing physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health and wellness practices to communities in the greater Newark area, with a special focus on artists. Our mission is to empower artists with a holistic approach to well-being, ensuring they thrive both creatively and personally. Through Aurway Aligned, artists and the community can embrace healthy habits and find balance, allowing their artistry to flourish while nurturing their minds, body, and soul.
Baby Shoes Cabaret
Step into the magical world of the Baby Shoes Cabaret, a night filled with music, performances, and a special twist! Inspired by the time-honored tradition of showing appreciation to singers by tossing a shoe, we've added an enchanting touch - tiny baby shoes! Join us for our (sometimes) family-friendly event as we cheer on performers with a shower of adorable baby shoes, creating an atmosphere of encouragement and joy. Let's come together, celebrate the arts, and make memories that will last a lifetime at the Baby Shoes Cabaret. It's a unique and heartwarming experience for all!
