Aurway is a network of emerging and professional artists dedicated to the pursuit, creation, and presentation of art that highlights the experiences of Black and Brown people. Our work spans across genres — from musicals and plays to ensemble concerts and devised performances.
We are seeking passionate, disciplined, and collaborative artists of all backgrounds and ages who are excited to contribute to stories that reflect community, creativity, and truth. Our productions range from youth-inclusive projects to professional-level ensemble work — offering opportunities for growth, mentorship, and artistic development.
At Aurway, we value vocal precision, ensemble awareness, storytelling through music and movement, and a commitment to authentic artistry.

Audition Submission Guidelines
Each show has its own requirements. Please submit your video as a YouTube link (set to “Unlisted”) in the form below.
Preach, Preacher
Include a one-minute contemporary monologue that shows personality and truth.
The Movement & Whispers of Jubilee
Prepare a short a cappella song that highlights your vocal tone and rhythm.
Include a one-minute dramatic monologue (movement or gesture encouraged).
RED
Prepare 16–32 bars of a contemporary musical theatre or R&B song.

Now that the Senior Pastor of O Shine Your Light Church has passed away, the search committee is charged with finding the best candidate to lead this multigenerational congregation into the future. But as candidates navigate church politics, hidden agendas, and personal preferences, the path to the pulpit becomes anything but holy.
A sharp and entertaining satire of the Black Church, Preach, Preacher invites audiences to reflect on faith, leadership, and the church’s relevance to generations to come. -
RED The Musical

When a new mayor threatens to close their neighborhood community center, a group of teenagers—connected by a web of life-altering circumstances—band together to fight back. Inspired by Brothers Grimm tales, RED is a bold, original musical that explores friendship, bravery, and the many colors of life.
Through powerful storytelling and unforgettable music, RED shines a light on issues often left in the dark, from corruption and domestic violence to resilience and hope within urban communities. -

Inspired by the Children’s Crusade – Birmingham, 1963
With additional song “Fire” by Lawrence Dandridge (2015)Told entirely through a cappella harmonies, step, and movement, The Movement shares the courageous story of the children and teens who stood up to racial injustice in Birmingham, Alabama—and changed the course of American history.

DANCING SHADOWS - Four spirit like dancers that symbolically “shadow” the lives of the four teens as their Brothers Grimm characters align in the story. Inspired by the tales of Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Cinderella. Double as Community Members.
